This work was part of solo show CURIOSA, opened at Novembar gallery in January 2020.
"Emilija Radojičić's initial inspiration and driving force for the creative process is meditation and ritual commitment to practice. The repetitive process of creating tapestries requires tremendous commitment, which can be seen as an obliteration because in the creative act the ego disappears. Regardless of the medium that currently captivates her (but does not define her artistic practice) curiosity as a driving force is not determined by the medium and can be accomplished in drawings, tapestries, installations, music. Integral parts of her process are attention, concentration and months of manual labor. Her works represent visual representations of complex spiritual ideas and are envisioned as a translation from the subconscious whose deeper interpretation follows later (and can be plural). Emilija Radojičić's works can be interpreted as an outburst of the moment, handwoven thoughts, but can also be interpreted as a testimony of commitment and love.”
